Mostly sunny, warmer than normal for Election Day, freezing over weekend

It will be a beautiful day to get out to the polls and vote, with sunny skies and warmer than normal temperatures expected for Election Day.

Today will also be slightly cloudy and breezy, with wind gusts of 20 to 25 mph possible, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. Due to the combination of wind and low humidity, NWS issued an increased fire danger warning for today.

Outdoor burning is not recommended today as a result.

Highs will reach the low 60s today, with overnight temperatures dropping to around 40 degrees.

The warm, sunny weather will continue tomorrow with highs in the low 70s. Overnight lows are expected to remain around 40 degrees again.

Thursday will be similar to Wednesday, but a few degrees warmer. Dry conditions could come to an end Thursday night due to a chance for rain.

Overnight lows will be in the low 40s.

Rain could continue into Friday, with a chance for showers across central Ohio and southward into northern Kentucky, according to NWS.

Temperatures will be in the low 60s.

After a week of warmer than usual temperatures, conditions will take a turn Saturday and Sunday with highs expected to only reach around 40 degrees and
