No fooling: Scattered showers, snow this morning; Breezy, chilly today

April showers could bring more than rain today, with a chance of scattered rain showers changing to light snow this morning, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Brief snow showers possible in counties along and north of Interstate 70, but are unlikely to cause visibility issues, according to NWS. Warm ground temperatures will result in limited snow accumulation of less than a quarter inch.

Slick spots are also possible for morning commuters in the areas where the heaviest snow showers occur.

Aside from the early precipitation, today will be breezy throughout the day, with some gusts as high as 24 mph in the early morning. Central Ohio could see some showers linger this afternoon, according to NWS.

It will be mostly cloudy for most of the day, though clouds will decrease in the evening for mostly sunny skies before dark.

Highs will be around 46 degrees. It will be mostly clear and calm overnight as temperatures fall to a low around 30 degrees.

On Saturday, clouds will build back up again in the morning, leading up to a chance of rain starting in the afternoon.

Rain chances will continue overnight before falling away a few hours after midnight.

Highs will be around 54 degrees on Saturday, falling to a low around 39 degrees.

Sunday will be partly sunny and dry, with high temperatures around 57 degrees. Sunday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 38 degrees.

The chance for rain returns Monday, with light showers expected.
