Scattered and rain and thunder are possible today and tomorrow before hotter temperatures and higher humidity moves into the region later this week, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Showers and thunderstorms will start in northern Ohio Monday morning before making their way south by the early afternoon. Some sunshine will creep in through cloud coverage throughout the day, with a high near 79 degrees.

Low temperatures will fall around 62 degrees.

A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms may occur before 8 a.m. Tuesday. Additional rounds of precipitation and thunderstorms are also possible during the day, according to NWs.

Highs will be near 76 degrees and lows will be near 58 degrees overnight.

Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy but moderate.

Wednesday brings a dry respite with mostly sunny skies. The high will be near 79 degrees.

Expect a partly cloudy and dry Wednesday night with low temperatures dipping in the upper 50s.

Hot temperatures are expected for the second half of the week with more humid air moving in from the southwest, according to NWS.

Thursday will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid-80s.

The chance for rain and thunderstorms returns Friday with temperatures in the upper 80s to low 90s.
