Tonight will be mostly cloudy and calm, but strong to severe storms are likely Tuesday, which is primary Election Day in Ohio.

“While damaging straight-line winds and large hail are the primary threats, an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out,” the National Weather Service in Wilmington posted on social media.

Cloud cover increases overnight, which will have temperatures in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Widespread showers are expected Tuesday morning, and a few storms are expected Tuesday afternoon and evening. The timing of the storms is from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, which will have a high near 76 degrees.

Damaging winds and large hail are the main threats during any storms, according to the NWS.

Rain activity is expected to end altogether toward 10 p.m. as the front moves out of the region. The overnight low will be around 52 degrees. Conditions will remain dry through early Thursday.

It will be mostly cloudy Wednesday but cooler with a high near 65 degrees. Skies will be partly cloudy Wednesday night with the overnight low around 48 degrees.

Thursday will have a chance of showers. It will be partly sunny and warmer with a high near 71 degrees. Showers are expected for Thursday night, which will have an overnight low around 56 degrees.

Showers are expected Friday and are possible for Saturday.

However, Mother’s Day on Sunday is expected to remain dry though overcast.
