Sunny hot, with temps rising into 90s

Today will be sunny and hot, with an Air Quality Advisory in effect for more southern counties due to anticipated heightened levels of ozone, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

An Air Quality Advisory is in effect until midnight for Butler and Warren counties, issued by the Southwest Ohio Air Quality Agency. During that time, there will be levels of ozone, or smog, that are unhealthy for sensitive groups such as small children, seniors and those with respiratory illnesses.

To help reduce the amount of ozone, residents can take the bus, carpool or bike to work instead of driving, refuel vehicles after 8 p.m., avoid topping off gas tanks, avoid idling vehicles and avoid using gas-powered lawn equipment.

Highs will be around 92 degrees today under clear skies. Tonight there will be some clouds though it will still be mostly clear with an overnight low around 65 degrees.

Clouds will decrease a little on Saturday for mostly sunny skies. It will still be just as hot with highs around 93 degrees. However, there will be more of a breeze, especially in the afternoon and evening.

Skies will clear further on Saturday night. It will be a breezy with an overnight low around 63 degrees.

Sunday will be mostly sunny and a not quite as hot with highs around 87 degrees.

Sunday night will be mostly clear and breezy with an overnight low around 63 degrees.
