It will be spring-like with higher than seasonable temperatures today and tomorrow, ahead of rain arriving on Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Today will be dry and mostly sunny with a high near 72 degrees. Clouds will increase gradually in the afternoon and overnight, for partly cloudy skies in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Overnight lows will be around 47 degrees.

Thursday 70-degree weather returns with dry conditions. Clouds will gradually increase Thursday night as temperatures fall to around 49 degrees.

Rain chances will start after dawn on Friday, with showers becoming likely in the afternoon.

Widespread showers will continue into the night, with a slight chance for some thunder starting in the evening.

Rain and thunder chances will fall after midnight, though there will still be a chance of rain through the dawn on Saturday.

Temperatures will be cooler on Friday, with highs at around 66 degrees, and lows at around 41 degrees.
