A complex storm system will bring rain and snow to the region today.
Snow showers will arrive from the south into the early afternoon and will spread north. As warmer air pushes into the storm, snow will switch to rain. This could create some messy weather for the evening commute.
Temperatures will reach the middle to upper 30s and then fall overnight. As the colder air arrives, all precipitation will switch back to snow, leading to a slippery commute early Thursday.
Snow totals will be an inch or less. Rain totals of around a half-inch are possible.
