Butter Cafe breakfast-and-lunch restaurant and its sister business, Glo Juice Bar + Cafe, will offer a 50 percent off special for first responders on Tuesday, July 28, according to Amy Beaver, the owner of both Brown Street businesses in Dayton.

Those police, nurses, doctors, paramedics, firefighters and other first responders can show ID or be in uniform when they pick up their orders to take advantage of the half-off special. The offer does not apply to delivery orders, and the Glo Juice Bar offer applies to smoothies only, Beaver said.

Butter Cafe, 1106 Brown St., will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday. Glo Juice Bar + Cafe at 1120 Brown St. will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. The two storefronts are separated by a parking lot near the University of Dayton.
