4 reasons why you should watch Wright State, UD women's basketball
Fast-paced action, high-scoring shootouts, spectacular athleticism, future pro players. No, we're not talking about the men's game this time. You'll find all those things and more when you watch either the Wright State Raiders or University of Dayton Flyers women's basketball teams play. Here's four reasons why you make it a point to watch Wright State and UD women's basketball:
-
1. You can see the players of tomorrow, today
David Jablonski/StaffProbably one of the most compelling reasons to catch either the Raiders or Flyers women's basketball teams in action is that you might see players log their last minutes as student-athletes, before joining the pro ranks. UD stars Ally Malott and Andrea Hoover were selected in the 2015 WNBA Draft and there is a chance Wright State guard Kim Demmings could join them after her final year at with the Raiders.

2. Points aplenty
Contributed Photo by Charles CapertonIf you think women's basketball games, especially those involving the Raiders and Flyers are low-scoring games, think again. To put it in prospective, WSU tallied nine games last season where they scored 90 or more points, while averaging nearly 80 points per contest. Similarly, the Flyers averaged 76.5 points per game last season and notched 11 games of scoring 80 or more points. And while a number of players who contributed to those stats have moved on, both teams return a talented group of core players who are sure to be lighting up the scoreboard each night.

3. Records meant to be broken
These women are making history. Some of the best talent to ever grace the courts at the Nutter Center and UD Arena will be on display this season, and with that talent comes an attack on each school's record books. WSU's Demmings is closing in on the school's all-time career scoring mark, while head coach Mike Bradbury broke the school's single-season win mark in just his fourth year at Wright State.

4. One of the best ticket values in town
