Connor Group building wins second award

The Connor Group’s central office building at the Dayton-Wright Brothers Airport in Miami Twp. was honored for excellence in construction by the Associated General Contractors of Ohio, company officials announced Monday.

The Connor Group Central Support Office, which opened in August, won first place in the Build Ohio awards program in the "New Construction Under $20 Million" category, officials said.

Messer Construction Co. of Dayton received the Build Ohio award for the project.

The AGC honor marks the second award for the angular, brushed aluminum and glass building. In August 2012, before it broke ground, the real estate investment firm’s corporate headquarters won an American Architecture Award based on its design.
