Dayton realtor named top 30 Under 30 by Realtor Magazine

A Dayton realtor has been named an honoree of Realtor Mag’s 30 Under 30 program.

Ryan Gillen of Irongate Inc. Realtors was included among the 30 honorees recognized for outstanding performance. More than 300 professionals under the age of 30 applied for this year’s honor back in January.

A panel of judges narrowed the list to 50, and then down to the 30 honorees. The list include realtors from cities across the country including Boston, Beverly Hills, Dayton, Nashville, Miami and Atlanta.

Gillen, who is 27 years old, is the only recipient from Ohio. According to his finalist biography, Gillen doesn’t rely on thousands of dollars on paid marketing to make a sale.

“Our mindset is based on not waiting around for the business to come to us,” he said. “We do pay for some online ads, but that is a very small percentage of our overall business. We want to be active in the marketplace, and that consists of door-knocking, cold calls, and open houses.”
