Groundbreaking today for Kettering Health Middletown facility

Dayton-based Kettering Health Network will host a groundbreaking ceremony at 2 p.m. today to kick off construction of a new medical facility in Middletown on state Route 122, just off Interstate-75.

The construction site, where a motel once stood, is located across the street from Atrium Medical Center, owned by Dayton-based Premier Health — Kettering’s chief competitor in southwest Ohio.

Details of the facility will be revealed at the groundbreaking, Kettering said in a news release. The new facility will join the network’s eight hospitals, 10 emergency departments and 120 outpatient facilities.
