33rd annual British Car Day lands almost 300 vehicles

More than 270 British-made automobiles graced the grass at Eastwood MetroPark for British Car Day Aug. 5.

The 33rd edition of the show was presented by the MG Car Club Southwestern Ohio Centre, Miami Valley Triumphs and Five Rivers Metroparks.

Participant balloting determined the winners in 40 classes of cars. Bill and Jeannie Jacobs of Springboro captured their class and also Best of Show for their immaculate 1952 Aston Martin DB2.

The Longest Drive Award went to Kelly Stevenson, who drove 425 miles to the event from Fayetteville, Tennessee.
