Emmy Award-nominated actor-comedian Denis Leary is shown during an interview with the Associated press as he talks about his The Leary Firefighters Foundation at a fire station Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, in Boston where his foundation donated a $250,000 fire boat to the city fire department. Leary lost a firefighter cousin during a warehouse fire in Worcester, Mass., in 1999. That incident, followed by the deaths of hundreds of firefighters two years later on Sept. 11, sparked his passion for funding for firefighters from New Orleans to New York.
