Gunman makes off with cash from Taco Bell robbery

A gunman made off with an undetermined amount of cash in the robbery of a Taco Bell restaurant in the 3000 block of Salem Avenue.

Dayton Sgt. Andrew Zecchini said employees told police the robber came in about 6:20 p.m. and demanded cash.

There were no customers, the sergeant said, but police were given a vague description of the suspect. Police are studying surveillance video, he said.

Zecchini said police aren't sure if the robber walked, drove or was driven from the scene of the crime.

No one was injured.

If you saw anything, you are asked to contact Dayton police at 333-COPS or Crime Stoppers at 222-STOP.
