‘Glo gang’ member in jail in Greene County

UPDATE March 22

Another of the teens identified by police as a member of the “Glo gang,” Tyler Lehmkuhle, was initially arrested with Miles Heizer following the robbery incident on Oakdale Avenue. Police said today that no charges were brought against him in that case by the prosecutor’s office.

Lehmkuhle is currently being held in the Greene County Jail on a bond violation related to a robbery charge from late 2016. His new bond is $150,000.

Three Kettering teenagers accused of robbing, beating and kidnapping another teen earlier this month had their first appearance in court this morning.

Ronnie Swango and Miles Heizer, indicted on charges of robbery and abduction, pleaded not guilty. They are both being held in the Montgomery County Jail on $50,000 bond.

Tessa Fuller, who is charged with obstructing justice, also pleaded not guilty and was released on her own recognizance.

This case revolves around an incident that happened on Oakdale Avenue in Kettering in early March when Heiser and Swango were accused of beating a teen while he was home asleep and then stealing his money.

Heizer is awaiting sentencing for an attack on a former classmate with a baseball bat last year, but that sentencing was postponed due to this new case.

Police say Heizer was also the driver who chased after Ronnie Bowers’ car the night the teen was shot last year, but Heizer has not been charged in connection to that homicide.

In a press conference, Kettering police last week named six total people they say are connected to the Glo gang, including these teens, and say they are investigating more.

But Fuller’s mother and her attorney argue that she is a good kid who has never been in trouble, but that she got mixed up with the wrong crowd.

Fuller’s mother said her daughter has never mentioned Heizer, Swango or the “Glo gang” to her before and this arrest has come as a shock to the whole family.
