911: Caller describes activity before Brookville shooting

An initial 911 call from a woman reporting the events leading up to the officer-involved shooting that led to the death of Ashley Sides and the arrest of Conrad Davis has been released.

“I was sitting in a restaurant parking lot eating some food and I saw a car go airborne over, they were exiting the highway ramp after I heard some sirens,” the caller told dispatchers, adding that it appeared that police had been chasing the vehicle. “They went airborne over and they’re in some trees behind the Wendy’s here.”

The caller told dispatchers it appeared the girl was not injured in the crash.

“I know at least one girl is ok cause she’s out of the car,” the caller said. “I don’t know if they’re hiding from somebody or if she’s trying to call for help.”

The caller then tells the dispatcher the woman was running up to the highway “waving down a ride.”

A short time later the 911 caller said “she is running from the cops. She’s running toward McDonald’s across the street.”

The caller tells the dispatcher police are on the scene and then the call is ended.
