Dayton apartment burglarized hours after drug raid, police say

A Dayton home was burglarized hours after police conducted a drug raid at the same apartment Thursday afternoon, according to a police report

The initial incident happened at the apartment in the 2000 block of Catalpa Drive when Dayton police officer raided the home at 2:40 p.m. Thursday. They seized drugs, cash and several guns from the apartment.

Andre Lamar Hill, 43, of Dayton was arrested and charged him with having weapons while under disability and drug possession.

He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.

Hours after the raid a woman who lives in the same apartment called police to report that several items had been stolen from the resident.

The woman reported that she left someone at the apartment while she ran an errand because she couldn’t lock her door. When she returned to the apartment two 40 inch televisions, two Bluetooth headphones and parts of a home theater system had been stolen.

Officers investigated the scene and did not find signs of forced entry, the report said.
