Dayton man wanted in Kentucky double-murder case arrested

The second of two suspects in a double-murder case in Kentucky has been caught by Kentucky State Police in Montgomery County.

Devante Hall, 24, of Dayton is wanted in connection with the murders of Brandy Davidson and Devin Peyton.

Eugene Edward Jr., 28, of Shelbyville, Kentucky was arrested on June 8 and is charged in the same crime with two counts of murder, wanton endangerment, two counts of tampering with physical evidence.

Online jail records show Hall was arrested in the first block of Benning Place in Dayton at 4:45 p.m. Friday and he is booked in the Montgomery County Jail.

One of two suspects in a double homicide in Kentucky has been caught, but police are still seeking the public’s help to find a Dayton man.

Eugene Wade Jr., of Shelbyville, Ky., was arrested in Dry Ridge, Ky., according to Kentucky State Police. He is charged with two counts of murder, wanton endangerment and two counts of tampering with evidence. He is being held at the Three Forks Regional Detention Center in Beattyville, Ky.

Devante L. Hall, 24, of Dayton, Ohio, also is wanted in connection to the deaths of Brandy N. Davidson and Devin J. Payton, police said. Hall is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or Kentucky police at 606-784-4127.

A Dayton man is one of two suspects in a double-murder in Kentucky.

According to the Kentucky State Police, 24-year-old Devante Hall, of Dayton, and 36-year-old Eugene Wade Jr. of Shelbyville, Kentucky, are wanted in connection to the deaths of two people found last weekend.

On June 4, the bodies of 25-year-old Brandy Davidson, of Stanton, Kentucky, and 33-year-old Devin Payton, of Georgetown, Kentucky were located in two separate locations in Kentucky.

State police said neither victim were from Dayton, updating an initial report by CBS-affiliate WKYT-Lexington. Both Hall and Wade are believe considered armed and dangerous.

Kentucky State Police are investigating two related deaths from the weekend in which a Dayton man was killed and his body dumped under a bridge, according to the CBS affiliate WKYT-Lexington.

The victim’s identity has not been released, but police have confirmed the man who was killed is from Dayton, according to WKYT’s report.

No information has been released regarding the second body, which was found this morning.

WKYT reports the victim was among a group of five who were staying at a cabin in Wolfe County. Two men got into a fight with the victim and fatally shot him, according to WKYT’s report.

Two people were arrested for allegedly tampering with evidence: Talmadge Branham and Carla Hunt.

The suspects allegedly washed blood out of a rental car that was used to transport the body from Wolfe County to Montgomery County, Ky. where the body was left beneath a bridge, according to WKYT’s report.

Police continue to look for the other two men who were involved.

Police told WKYT that the two in custody drove the other two men to Lexington and stopped to wash the car out before returning it to Enterprise in Mount Sterling.

In addition, the investigation revealed a second body that was discovered near the cabin in Wolfe County where the group is believed to have stayed over the weekend.
