Dayton police seize suspected heroin, methamphetamine, fentanyl from vehicle

DAYTON —Two Dayton men are facing drug and gun felony-related charges after police chased them on foot around North Kilmer Street and used a Taser on one of the men.

Police found suspected heroin, methamphetamine and fentanyl along with over $3,600 in cash in the suspect’s vehicle, according to a city police report.

Brian Hunter, 26, and Marcus Pritchett, 27, are facing four felonies and two misdemeanors for drugs, guns and resisting arrest after police tried to stop them Monday afternoon outside of a Rankin auto body shop in the Westwood neighborhood according to a Dayton police report.

Both men are being held at Montgomery County Jail.

Officers were cycling around the neighborhood when they spotted a black Chevy Impala parked blocking the alley of French Lane and North Kilmer Street.

The report indicates the officers approached the car and saw a gun on the floorboard below the steering wheel.

When responding officers found the firearm, they told Hunter and Pritchett to get on the ground prompting the two men to run from the scene.

Pritchett was chased by one of the officers on foot and did not stop until he was shot with a Taser in a side yard of Woodward Avenue, according to the city police report. Hunter was also captured by another officer at West Second Street.

Pritchett reportedly told the officers that he ran because he had a warrant out for his arrest.
