Enon man charged in road rage incident

Christopher F. Pitstick, 28, is charged with attempted murder in incident that happened in Sugarcreek Twp.

A man is facing a charge of attempted murder after what authorities describe as a road rage incident in Sugarcreek Twp. in which one driver stuck another who had left his vehicle, running over his legs.

Christopher F. Pitstick, 28, of Enon, remained in the Greene County Jail on Friday facing charges of attempted murder, felonious assault and vehicular assault. Police say he used his van as a weapon that could have deadly consequences.

The incident occurred on July 26 in the vicinity of 6240 Wilmington Pike, a commercial strip that includes Walmart.

Police say Pitstick was following the driver of a sport utility vehicle when that vehicle slowed down. Pitstick, police said, rear-ended the vehicle and the drivers began arguing. Pitstick is accused of then revving his engine and hitting a 48-year-old man, running over his legs. He then left the scene. A witness provided police with a license plate number.

The victim was taken to a hospital and treated for his injuries. Pitstick is scheduled for a court hearing Thursday. .
