Report: Woman robbed, dragged by pickup truck

A Dayton woman reported she was robbed at gunpoint and dragged through the street by a pickup truck on Valley Street on Wednesday.

Dayton police officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Valley Street for a reported robbery.

Police reported the victim’s injuries included skinned knees.

The victim told police officers she was getting out of a vehicle when a black pickup truck pulled up near her.

The victim reported a woman pulled a handgun from her purse and a male displayed a knife, according to the incident report.

“The two demanded that (the victim) give them her purse and pharmacy bag containing Xanax pills,” wrote Dayton Police Officer Brandon Cartee.

The victim told officers she blacked out, and when she regained consciousness she was being dragged in the street by a pickup truck.

The victim’s purse contained $86 and a bottle of Seroquel sleeping pills, according to the incident report.

Medics treated the victim on the scene.

Police searched, but were unable to locate the pickup truck.

No arrests have been made at this time.
