A duo that eluded Huber Heights police have been indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury.
Joshua J. Kiser was indicted on two counts of receiving stolen property and failure to comply with police order.
Paige Taylor indicted for receiving stolen property; tampering with evidence and obstructing justice.
Both remain in jail and will be arraigned Aug. 4.
UPDATE @ 2:41 p.m. (July 14):
Paige Taylor, the 18-year-old girlfriend of Huber Heights fugitive Joshua Kiser, was indicted Thursday on felony charges of obstructing justice.
As Taylor’s indictment was announced, Kiser’s scheduled court appearance today was canceled and bound over to a grand jury.
Kiser was shot by Huber Heights police who had been looking for him since the afternoon of June 27, when he sped away when officers tried to question him about an armed robbery. An officer shot at Kiser when he drove his car toward the officer. Taylor was with Kiser at the time. Kiser remains in the Montgomery County jail on bonds totaling $625,000. Taylor is also jailed.
UPDATE @ 12:43 p.m. (July 8):
Joshua Kiser was arraigned in Montgomery County Municipal Court on a variety of charges this morning.
Kiser pleaded not guilty and a judge set his bond at $500,000 cash.
Kiser will be back in court on July 14.
UPDATE @ 7:39 p.m. (July 7):
Huber Heights fugitive Joshua Kiser, 20, is in jail now on bail set at $500,000.
He is being detained on felony charges of receiving stolen property, robbery and a probation violation stemming from a earlier aggravated robbery charge, according to online Montgomery County Jail records.
He is to be in court on Friday to answer to the charges.
Paige Taylor, 18, described by police as Kiser’s girlfriend, is in custody on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She is to be in court July 12 to answer to the charge, according to jail records.
UPDATE @ 10:15 a.m. (July 7):
Huber Heights police chief Mark Lightner said U.S. Marshals helped in the search for Joshua Kiser and Paige Taylor.
Kiser, a fugitive wanted out of Huber Heights, was arrested after he jumped from a car that he was a passenger in early Thursday morning.
Paige Taylor’s mother issued a plea to the community this week to help find her daughter. Lightner, at a news conference this morning, said he believes this plea for help brought in information on Kiser and Taylor.
Detectives will talk with prosecutors today about potential new charges against Kiser and possibly Taylor, according to Lightner.
UPDATE @ 4:45 a.m. (July 7):
Joshua Kiser — the fugitive wanted out of Huber Heights who was caught early Thursday morning — was transported to a local medical facility for treatment of gunshot wounds believed to be from an earlier police shooting that occurred on June 27, according to a Facebook post from Huber Heights Police.
According to the post, Huber Heights Detectives are currently in the process of obtaining search warrants, interviewing suspects and working on additional aspects of this case, which will be presented to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.
UPDATE @ 2:14 a.m. (July 7):
Joshua Kiser, a fugitive wanted out of Huber Heights, and his girlfriend, Paige Taylor, are in custody.
Huber Heights police chief Mark Lightner said police received information that Kiser and Taylor were staying at the Red Roof Inn in Fairborn. He said they worked with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Fairborn police to take both into custody.
Fairborn police spotted Kiser driving and attempted to pull him over. He got out of the car and fled, and after a short foot pursuit, he was taken into custody.
Taylor was taken into custody without incident at the Red Roof Inn, he said, saying she answered the door when police knocked.
Police said Kiser was not injured.

The mother of Paige Taylor, the young woman police believe is with Huber Heights fugitive Joshua Kiser, issued a plea to the community for help in finding Paige:
“My name is Jen Taylor. This is to anyone who might know Josh Kiser or my daughter, Paige Taylor:
Paige’s family and I are desperate for your help. My child is missing and I am terrified there will be no good outcome.
There has been little help from people who may know where she is. I understand the code is: “snitches get stitches”, and I can understand why on some level.
But I want you to look at my child’s picture - and see your own child instead. Imagine your baby, the person you’ve taught to walk and talk, the person who only wanted you when they were sick, the little person who melts your heart, makes you angry, and then melts your heart again.
And then ask yourself- do “stitches” matter? Because I would take any bullet, any knife, any torture to get to my child. I am pleading with you to help me. It’s not helping the police - it’s helping a mother who cannot sleep and a mother who is crying, trying to find her child.
Please respond to the news, respond to me - PLEASE give me any information you might have on Paige Taylor.”
Huber Heights police have been looking for Kiser since the afternoon of June 27, when he sped away from an attempt by police to question him. Kiser is believed to have been wounded in that incident when he drove toward an officer. Police also think he's with Paige Taylor.
Taylor, in an interview tonight, said she has spoken with Huber Heights police and they have interviewed her regarding her daughter’s whereabouts.
“I’m just trying to help the police. I don’t know how to do that. My whole approach is to appeal to the people who are not cooperating with police.”
Taylor said she is reaching out to the people who know where she is.
