Well, actually, we were here for the drugs

Caught speeding at 11 p.m. on Salem Pike and North Union Road, an Indiana-registered citizen said he and his female passenger were in Dayton to visit the hospital where the woman’s juvenile son was being treated because his, “eye fell out.”

Suspicious, police asked to search the man’s car, like maybe they’d find the eye rolling around or something.

“I don’t really see the need for you to search my vehicle, but I guess you can,” he said.

He was shocked when the officer found syringes with light brown (read heroin) residue, several clear gel capsules, a silver spoon and suboxone. OK, he admitted, he did not come to the area to see the female’s son. He was here to buy heroin near Salem Avenue and Philadelphia Drive.

After buying it, he went into the bathroom of an ice cream store to use five of the capsules. He said his female friend swallowed three.

He was taken to the Montgomery County Jail on possession of drug abuse instruments and his speeding. No drugs were found on her, so she was released.
