Woman admits full purse wasn’t paid for

Video of a woman taking things off the shelf of a downtown discount store was not available.

But the clerk noticed her large purse was flat and apparently empty when she walked in and bulging when she walked out — despite not buying anything.

Located at her home, the woman said the goods worth $16.50 contained in the package found in her car were purchased at another, sister store, except she could not provide any sales receipts.

When told a video would be perused to see if she took the stuff, the suspect admitted she did and hadn’t been to the second store at all. She was cited for a misdemeanor and given a notice of criminal trespass.
