Miamisburg working with community foundation to build dog park

Miamisburg is planning to build a dog park with the help of the Miamisburg Community Foundation.

Plans call for the park to be located in Community Park on First Street and include 1,600 feet of fencing, said Kelsey Whipp, the city’s parks and recreation director.

No tax money would be used to finance the park, Whipp said, as funds would come through donations from the community foundation and sponsorships.

Work on the dog park is set to start this fall with the opening targeted for spring, she said.
