Fairfield business evacuated after bomb threat

All non-essential personnel were sent home from Takumi Stamping Thursday after a bomb threat was found in a women’s restroom at the Fairfield business.

Fairfield police and emergency crews were dispatched to the business at 8585 Seward Road at 12:48 p.m. today and evacuated the auto parts manufacturer, according to police.

The fire department cleared the scene at about 1:44 p.m.

Nothing was found, according to Fairfield police Officer Doug Day. A police officer is still at the Toyota parts supplier, he said.

Most of the staff was sent home and supervisors remained behind, he said.

Investigators are looking to find out who left the note, Day said.

“They’re reviewing surveillance video to see if they can find who went into that women’s bathroom and put that note in there,” he said.
