Frozen-yogurt shop shuts down after 5 years at The Greene

The Yoba Frozen Yogurt shop at The Greene has closed its doors for good.

“After five years of serving you the finest fro-yo in town, we have decided to close our doors and move on to other adventures,” a notice on the store’s front door and on the Yoba Facebook page said. “A huge and heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all of our fiercely loyal customers who helped make Yoba the success it was.”

Yoba, which was not affliated with any chain, opened under the ownership of Will Xue of Beavercreek in November 2010 at 4378 Juniper Way, across from The Greene’s Von Maur department store. It specialized in tart frozen yogurt, and also sold Bubble Tea.

Steve Willshaw, general manager of The Greene, said the store’s lease expired. The retail center has “something in process” to move into the empty space, but it’s too early to release details, Willshaw said.
