The girls who attended wrote an essay about how their character traits will aid them in the career fields that are typically dominated by men. With over a hundred entries, Amara Nwanaro won second place while Emma Plummer won the Honorable Mention.

The girls were able to choose three breakout sessions they wanted to attend. Many of the girls chose to attend Barbie Bungee Jumping, a forensics workshop that simulated CSI, and a nursing workshop where the students were introduced to medical laboratory technology.
The students gather in small groups to use the technology in real world situations. They learned about real world application of technology and its connection to the workplace.

Among the breakout session opportunities, the students were able to explore math, chemistry, physics, robotics, networking, computers, programming software, and computer forensics.
