Lainhart forced his way into a home and was removing items when a relative of the homeowner arrived and scared him away, according to a release from the Preble County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies, with assistance from an Eaton police K-9 unit and West Alexandria police, tracked Lainhart down in a field north and west of the residence he allegedly burglarized, according to the release.
Lainhart was searched and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of suspected methamphetamine, according to the release.
