Car hits semi, loses control on I-70E near Enon

A car struck a semi and lost control, crashing into a grassy area tonight along Interstate 70 in Clark County.

The crash was reported around 9:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-70 at milepost 44, just east of I-675.

The semi was in the middle lane and the car was in the far right lane when the car’s driver tried to change lanes. That’s when the car hit the semi and lost control before coming to rest in a grassy area, according to a trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Springfield Post.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and the trooper said wet conditions were a contributing factor.

The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. He will be cited for failure to control, according to the patrol.
