2 CareFlight choppers used in Preble Co. serious crash

UPDATE @ 2 p.m.

Two CareFlight helicopters were used to transport two people who were hurt in a crash that involved a funeral procession today in Preble County.

The crash shut down the intersection at Hillcrest Drive and Camden Road near Eaton High School.

The crash happened as a funeral procession was approaching and a vehicle crashed into a vehicle that had pulled over to show respect, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol Dayton Post.

At least three vehicles were involved.

The driver of one SUV was taken quickly to a nearby hospital, where he was picked up by CareFlight and taken to Miami Valley Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.

CareFlight is responding after a serious crash happened at Hillcrest Drive and Camden Road near Eaton High School.

Crews were called to respond around 11:52 a.m.

Early reports indicated there were multiple injuries and at least one person needed to be flown to a hospital.
