Dayton fire crews are investigating a reported arson attempt Sunday morning.
Crews were dispatched to the first block of Murray Hill Drive around 3:45 a.m. on reports of a car and house fire.
Initial reports indicate an a fire investigator has been called to the scene after a burning 10-gallon fuel container was found near the house.
Someone attempted to set fire to the home's mailbox and porch, according to scanner traffic.
Reports indicate the car fire has been extinguished and the fire near the house is under control.
