What was to be the sixth annual race was officially canceled a few weeks ago when no suitable replacement location could be found.
“I feel bad that we had to do that this year, but I am going to do everything in my power to have it back next year,” Peters said. “We’ve gotten a lot of support from the community for the 5K.”
The festival is set for 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday Nov. 19.

The race has drawn as many as 400 runners as well as their family members and friends.
Proceeds raised from registration were to go to The Springboro police's Operation Santa program and a local food pantry.
Now in its 30th year and organized by a committee of twelve, the Christmas in Historic Springboro festival will continue as normal.
The event attracts as many as 70,000 and includes a parade, vendors, horse carriage rides, a visit from Santa and music.
