The First Baptist Church hosted the meeting under the theme “Moving Forward” this month.

As president, Starry will oversee and manage structural components of pastors and churches as they work together.

Starry will remain in his role at lead pastor of the church and serve as a volunteer that aims to connect other pastors around the state.

“Someone has to represent pastors and churches across Ohio, and that will be my goal this year,” said Starry. “It was a pretty cool honor – I didn’t see that coming.”
