No signs of trauma after man found dead along train tracks in Springfield Twp.

A man was found dead along the railroad tracks near Old Mill Road in Springfield Twp. Wednesday morning, according to Clark County sheriff’s deputies.

There were no signs of trauma to the man’s body, said Lt. Dusty White.

The man appears to be in his mid to late 30s.

Investigators do not believe he was hit by a train. The tracks he was found along are not used as frequently. The last train on those tracks around 3 a.m. Tuesday.

The incident was reported around 9 a.m. in the 100 block of Old Mill Road near Mad River after a railroad inspector found the man deceased along the tracks.

It isn’t clear how long the man has been there, but investigators said it’s been at least a day.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office is on the scene. Springfield Twp. Fire Department also responded to the incident.
