At the time of the accused crime, Brown had been on the campus performing work for Time Warner Cable.

Brown was suspended by the cable provider and is no longer an employee of the company, according to a spokesman for Charter Communications, which now operates TWC properties.

The spokesman, in a prepared statement released via email, said, “We take these allegations very seriously and have been working with police during their investigation.”

Miami Twp. police Capt. John Magill said, “If you have a loved one or family member that’s in a nursing home or any kind of care facility … it’s important that the extended family or care network of that person take into account that it’s very easy and very common for that individual to become a victim of a crime.

“It’s important (family) protect that person’s physical well-being, financial well-being and emotional well-being. All three of those things are levers that criminals will use to take advantage of people that are in need or confined to a care facility,” the captain said.
