Troy school board considers building plans

The Troy City Schools Board of Education took an initial step required to possibly participate in the Ohio School Facilities Commission facilities assistance program during a special board meeting Thursday, June 30.

The board action opens the door for the OSFC to begin its assessment of district facilities, Superintendent Eric Herman said. The assessment information would be used by the district as embarks on process of reviewing options for facilities, request for OSFC money and a possible request to taxpayers for funding in November 2017. An educational visioning team will begin its work in mid-August. NANCY BOWMAN, CONTRIBUTING WRITER
