Medical campus expansion could get $250K help from Dayton

Dayton commissioners on Wednesday are expected to vote whether to give $250,000 to Elizabeth Place Holdings for a renovation and expansion project.

Elizabeth Place, a medical campus at 601 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd, plans to invest $1.75 million for improvements that include the build out of 10 new surgical units.

The city’s contribution will help one of Elizabeth Place’s largest medical tenants retain about $4.2 million in payroll, according to city documents.

In 2014, the complex’s ownership announced plans to invest $2.8 million into the campus for improvements related to parking, signage, entry doors and common areas. The city approved $450,000 in funding for the project, which sought to retain 700 jobs and expand payrolls by 200 within three years.
