Clinton supporters, Trump Jr. to appear in Clark, Champaign County

As Election Day draws closer and closer, surrogates for the main candidates are stopping in Clark and Champaign counties for a final push for votes.

“Scandal” actor Katie Lowes and “Sense8” actor Adam Shapiro will stop at the Hillary for Ohio Headquarters on 42 W. High St. in Springfield at 5:15 p.m. Friday.

The actors are part of a two-day early voting tour for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

On the GOP side, Donald Trump Jr. will stop at the Champaign Aviation Museum, located at 1652 N. Main St. in Urbana, at 3:50 p.m. Sunday, according to the Champaign County Republican party. RSVPs aren’t required and the event is open to the public.

Both Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump have increased their presence in Ohio as the state’s voters have a near flawless record in predicting the winner. Since 1960, Ohio has voted for the winner of each presidential election.

Both Trump and Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine have stopped in Clark County in the past few weeks.
