Pizza shop moving to Cornerstone of Centerville

Cornerstone of Centerville is adding a carryout/delivery pizza shop to its growing list of dining retail options.

Tristan Koehler, franchise owner for 20 local Domino’s Pizza stores, said he intends to close the existing Domino’s location at 5995 Bigger Road in south Kettering and open a new location in the Cornerstone of Centerville’s Shoppes at Cornerstone I retail center that is under construction along Wilmington Pike near Costco Wholesale.

The Shoppes I center will also house the state’s first Bagger Dave’s Burger Tavern. Elsewhere in the Cornerstone development, dining-related tenants will include Chick-fil-A, Cheddars and Panda Express.

Koehler said the lease on the small (1,000 square feet) Bigger Road location is scheduled to expire next spring, “so we were looking to move it.

“I’m glad we were able to get a location at Cornerstone. It’s got great visibility and is centrally located in our delivery area, which will not change,” Koehler said.

The new 1,600-square-foot location will have larger kitchen facilities and two high-capacity pizza ovens to accommodate carryout and deliver orders, Koehler said.

Construction is still underway, but the franchise owner said he is shooting for a Nov. 24 opening date.

The new pizza shop will hire eight more deliver drivers and five pizza makers, with both full- and part-time positions available, Koehler said. To apply, go to jobs.dominos.com and look for store #2355.
