Shops by Todd will occupy 2,700 square feet of the second floor, immediately above Basil’s restaurant, which is set to open this summer.
Shops by Todd has 17 stores under the brand names Occasionally Yours, Pandora and Jake’s Toggery, employing more than 300 employees in Ohio and Indiana. It will locate its headquarters in the 312 Patterson building, joining a tenant roster that includes PNC Bank, Bricker and Eckler, Snap Fitness, Crawford Hoying, and Woodard Development.
“As a born and bred Daytonian, downtown Dayton is in my blood,” Todd Bettman, Shops by Todd chief executive, said in a statement from Crawford & Hoying. “We are very proud to have grown our company out of a small office in the back of our store at Fairfield Commons Mall, and so excited that our continued growth now allows us to bring our headquarters to this exciting location overlooking the river and the downtown skyline, and right at the heart of the resurgence of downtown and the ballpark area.”
The first phase of the Water Street district is nearing completion, with residential units being leased up quickly, Crawford Hoying said.
