West Carrollton library expansion calls for 50 percent more space

Plans to expand the West Carrollton branch of the Dayton Metro Library will be presented Tuesday night.

The expansion calls for library at 300 E. Central Ave. to have 50 percent more space, growing from 10,000 square feet to 15,000 square feet, officials have said.

The project is part of the Dayton Metro Library’s plan to improve its facilities after the passage of a $187 million bond levy in 2012. The West Carrollton plans are set to presented by architect Levin Porter Associates at the West Carrollton City Council meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at the West Carrollton Civic Center, 300 E. Central Ave.
