Key leaders at the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Fighters and Bombers Directorate at Wright-Patterson have been chosen for promotion to one-star general, according to the Department of Defense.

The two are Air Force Col. Evan C. Dertien, AFRL vice commander and a former test pilot, and Col. Anthony W. Genatempo, senior materiel leader and F-22 systems program manager at the Fighters and Bombers Directorate.

Air Force Col. Leah G. Lauderback, the prior National Air and Space Intelligence Center commander at Wright-Patterson, also was nominated for promotion to brigadier general. She is a senior military assistant to the undersecretary of defense for intelligence at the Pentagon.

The three will become brigadier generals pending congressional approval.
