Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis and defensive coordinator Paul Guenther said they were disappointed with cornerback Adam Jones' rant against Browns wide receiver Terrelle Pryor after the 23-10 victory in Cleveland on Sunday.

“Adam’s too old for that stuff,” said Guenther, who added that he saw Jones and Pryor jawing before the game but wasn’t sure what was said.

Regardless of the words used before the game, Guenther said, Jones shouldn’t have acted the way he did after the game.

“I told him ‘10 years from now you don’t want your daughter to turn this on and watch this,’” Guenther said.

“It’s not the thing we want to get into, and Adam knows that,” Lewis added.

Pryor declined comment through a Browns spokesman Monday.

Browns head coach Hue Jackson, who was Jones’ position coach in Cincinnati in 2013 and on the Bengals staff for four seasons before , told cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot he was disappointed in both players and vowed to stop Pryor’s antics.

“It’s unfortunate that those things have happened,” he said. “I don’t think that they have any place in the National Football League, especially on our team so we’re going to try and get all those things quiet down. We just want to play football, be the best football players we can be and let’s get away from all of that.

“I know Adam extremely well and again, he’s very competitive, Terrelle’s very competitive, it probably went too far and I think we’ve just got to move on from it,” Jackson added. “People will pile on right now, that’s just part of it. We’ll weather that storm too and get better from it and grow from it and be better.”
