Reds’ 2017 top pick Hunter Greene made his pro debut Tuesday with the Billings Mustang of the Pioneer League against the Idaho Falls Chukars.
The right-handed pitcher out of Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, Calif., is listed as the team’s No. 2 prospect. But he was hitting on Tuesday. He will debut on the mound Aug. 27.
Greene, who turned 18 on Sunday, batted sixth as the designated hitter. His highlight was a two-run triple in his fourth professional at-bat.
