Have I been in such a funk that I missed the Reds drafted Hunter Greene? pic.twitter.com/wCXtMU5gIL

The right-handed pitcher out of Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, Calif., is listed as the team’s No. 2 prospect. But he was hitting on Tuesday. He will debut on the mound Aug. 27.
Greene, who turned 18 on Sunday, batted sixth as the designated hitter. His highlight was a two-run triple in his fourth professional at-bat.

A decent start, but not all were impressed:
As a fan in attendance of @HunterGreene17 pro debut, the one memory I take away from tonight is his refusal to sign autographs for kids.

Quickly, fans clarified things:
His team around him made it very clear that he was not signing at all last night, it was sad to see disappointed kids.

Sorry to hear kids were disappointed. It does sound as though the organization had him off to something else in a hurry.

He actually signed after he was done with interviews if you would've stayed longer. Great to get a picture with him and my two boys!
