NFL Week 8: Bengals in London, Browns in the win column?

1. The Bengals are first up this Sunday with a 9:30 a.m. clash against the Redskins in London.

Was last week the beginning of a turnaround? Only time will tell.

This is a very winnable game for a team with playoff aspirations, and Cincinnati should have the advantage when it comes to health.

2. The Browns would appear to have a real chance to pick up their first win as they play host to the surprisingly bad Jets. Can you believe Cleveland has scored more points than New York so far this season? Hue Jackson just might know what he’s doing up there by Lake Erie….

Josh McCown will be back at quarterback for Cleveland.

3. The late-afternoon window has only two games, but they could be pretty good.

Watch out for fireworks as Aaron Rodgers and the Packers travel to Atlanta to take on Matt Ryan and the Falcons. The other game features Joey Bosa and the Chargers playing at defending Super Bowl champion Denver.

4. The Sunday night game has all sorts of potential as the Eagles play at Dallas in a game matching two highly regarded rookie quarterbacks. Philadelphia’s Carson Wentz and Dallas’ Dak Prescott bring passer ratings of 92.7 and 103.9, respectively, into the game. Oh yeah, and there’s the NFL’s leading rusher, Ezekiel Elliott, lining up in the Cowboys backfield.

Marquee matchups have been few and far between in the first half of the season. Imagine if it’s actually an entertaining game, too!

5. On Monday night, the no-longer undefeated Vikings play at the still-terrible Bears.

This is a matchup of the worst scoring offense in the league (Chicago) against a unit tied for No. 1 in points allowed, so feel free to find something else to watch.
