NFL Week 13 recap: Bengals win while Brady, Berry make history

Week 13 in the NFL included something we hadn't seen in a while: A Bengals victory.

Here is what you need to know about that game and what else went on around the league:

1. The Bengals had it all working in a 32-14 win over the Eagles.

Andy Dalton was stellar, and the defense made life hard for Philadelphia rookie Carson Wentz as Cincinnati snapped a four-game winless streak.

And Chad Johnson was in the house.

2. Cincinnati didn’t make up any ground in the AFC North, though.

The Ravens and Steelers both won to improve to 7-5.

Worse yet: Baltimore’s offense was great in a 38-6 win over Miami while Pittsburgh’s defense held the Giants to a pair of touchdowns in a 24-14 win over the Giants.

If either of those teams start to become more well-rounded, whatever glimmer of hope the Bengals have of climbing back into contention is pretty much gone.

Yeah... He caught that.

3. Tom Brady is the winningest quarterback in NFL history.

The Patriots beat the Rams 26-10 for Brady’s 201st win as a starting quarterback, surpassing Peyton Manning’s league record.

4. Ezekiel Elliott, Dak Prescott and the Cowboys are going to the playoffs.

Dallas clinched a playoff berth when Washington lost at Arizona. The Cowboys won on Thursday night over Minnesota.

5. Eric Berry had one of the biggest highlights of the day and continues to be one of the league’s best stories.

The Kansas City safety scored a touchdown off an interception and returned a two-point conversion pass for what turned out to be the decisive points in the Chiefs’ 29-28 win at Atlanta.

It was also an emotional homecoming for Berry, a native of the Atlanta area who has overcome cancer to continue a brilliant NFL career. He wore special cleats to promote Hodgkin lymphoma.

6. The Seahawks crushed the Panthers in the Sunday night game, but did Seattle lose a key player?

Earl Thomas went down with an injury during the game, and the star safety tweeted at halftime he was having thoughts about retiring.
