5 players fined for actions in Bengals-Patriots game

Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict wasn’t the only player to earn a fine in Sunday’s 35-17 loss at New England.

The NFL fined Burfict $75,000 for stepping on Patriots running back LaGarrette Blount after a touchdown with 57 seconds left in the game, and the league also fined Blount $9,115 for his retaliation against Burfict.

New England tight end Rob Gronkowski was fined $9,115 for taunting, and Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was docked $9,115 for a facemask against Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick that was not flagged.

Kirkpatrick, who was flagged for a facemask on the play, also was fined $9,115.
