Samantha Breen signs with Dayton Flyers

Post player from Pennsylvania is top-100 recruit

The Dayton Flyers signed the first recruit of the Shauna Green era Wednesday on National Signing Day.

Samantha Breen, a 6-foot-2 post from North Catholic High School in Cranberry, Pa., signed a national letter of intent. She’s a four-star recruit who ranks 67th in the class of 2017, according to ESPN, and seventh in the nation at her position.

Breen has played for Dayton men’s coach Archie Miller’s dad John in AAU basketball.

“We are very excited to have Sam join our Flyer family,” Green said in a press release. “Her toughness and ability to score in a variety of ways fits our system perfectly. We can’t wait to have her here in a Dayton uniform.”
